CLAREMORE – The Rogers County Sheriff’s Department is now in possession of an American flag that was pressed into service during the United States Army’s occupation of bases in Iraq and Kuwait.

“Our Rogers County Sheriff’s Office had a very awesome visitor this morning. Sgt. William Preston Harrell of the Oklahoma Army National Guard, dropped by and presented Sheriff Walton with an American Flag that was flown over Iraq and Kuwait, while he was deployed with the military.” the Department said on social media.

Sgt. Harrell has been serving as a Crew Chief on a UH-60M “Blackhawk” Helicopter, the military’s latest prototype. Assigned to Charlie Company-1/244 Assault Helicopter Battalion, he has experienced some amazing missions, and was pleased to present our Nation’s symbol to the Sheriff.

“Thank you, Sgt. Harrell, for serving our Nation.” the Department said.
